The NCC is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, particularly concerning work in confined spaces. In alignment with the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (COHSR), Part XI – Confined Spaces, and other relevant federal standards, there is a need to comprehensively assess all confined spaces within our operations and develop appropriate procedures and programs to manage associated risks effectively.
The primary objective of this project is to review the list of confined and potentially confined spaces identified by the National Capital Commission (NCC), determine which ones meet the definition of a confined space, and assess whether any qualify as hazardous confined spaces.
